After graduating from LHS in 1999, Lyndsey Nelson attended Concordia University, Irvine for a year. “I really learned a lot about the real world down south and had to move back home to figure out what I wanted to do.” After returning to Sacramento, she worked a number of different jobs and earned her AA from American River College and then went on to complete her Bachelor’s in Counseling, Psychology, and Theology in 2007 at William Jessup University in Rocklin.
While at William Jessup, she started working for Starbucks and, after moving through several different locations, is now a shift supervisor at the Greenback and Madison location in Orangevale. Lyndsey has also put her counseling degree to use by working at a group home called “Breaking the Cycle” and serving as an on-call counselor with Paradise Oaks Youth Services. Lyndsey is currently working to complete her Master’s Degree in Mental Health Counseling.
